Many people experience emotional or psychological difficulties at some time in their lives. They may feel they would benefit from psychological therapy to help them find ways to resolve their difficulties, adapt to certain issues if appropriate, and in general restore a sense of emotional well-being. The professional organisation for Clinical Psychologists, the British Psychological Society, states that the role of a Clinical Psychologist is to “reduce psychological distress and to enhance and promote psychological well-being by the systematic application of knowledge derived from psychological theory and data”.

Amanda welcomes self-referrals and also referrals from GPs and other health professionals. If you are considering seeking psychological therapy and would like to discuss this informally with Amanda, you can do this by telephone or email. Or if you are a health care professional and would like to discuss a possible referral please contact Amanda. Please see details on the Contact page.

Clients are seen in Amanda's clinic in Stirling city centre, which is easily accessible from most locations in central Scotland, including Glasgow, Falkirk, Alloa, Linlithgow, Perth and Edinburgh.
